Before asking questions,
Please first read the following guide:

On the pet import or export, refer to the FAQ to get immediate answer.

And if you still cannot find your answer,
Then the first-time inquiry needs to be sent through the following form:

1．Please check whether you have correctly entered your e-mail address.

2．We will reply to you in due course. Please wait for several days.

3．Before asking about the import procedures for dogs and cats, please check the FAQ section to see if your question has already been answered.

4．If you are planning to import of dogs and cats, you should submit your notification form directly to the Animal Quarantine Service in charge of your aiport of entry. Please refer to the guidance before making an inquiry.
Import from the designated region; Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji Islands, Hawaii, Guam
Import from other than the designated region

5．Although the Animal Quarantine Service may not be required when you bring your pet bird, rat, squirrels and/or ferrets to Japan, there is other restrictions by other ministries. You should contact the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare; MHLW, if needed.

6. If you are planning to import animal products, please contact the Animal Quarantine Service at the airport or seaport where you import them. You will need to provide detailed information, such as a list of ingredients, a manufacturing process chart and photos of the exterior packaging, etc.

7. If you are planning to import dried fish and fish products that do not contain meat from livestock or eggs, please refer to the FAQ section.

8. Limit questions to procedure at the Animal Quarantine Service.

9. Only in Japanese or English language.
