Sustainable Agriculture

The Sustainable Agriculture Division of the Agricultural Production Bureau at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is implementing measures under the theme of “sustainable agriculture.” As the United Nations adopted the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in 2015, Japan’s agriculture needs to properly respond to them. Some of this division’s activities are introduced here as follows:
